Life at Broadacres

A luxurious home from home, Broadacres combines gracious living with meticulous 24 hour care.  Our country house is set in beautiful grounds with views of the Broads National Park on the out skirts of Barton Turf near Norwich.

Life at Broadacres is engaging and involving, with participation from family and friends welcomed.  Many residents have made their home here, but we also provide convalescence or respite care.

No effort is spared in enhancing our residents’ comfort, safety and enjoyment of life. Their contentment, wellbeing, and peace of mind are our measures of success.

Sensitive care is provided by experienced staff whose efforts have been recognised by the highest possible ratings from official inspections.

Personalised, safe and comfortable

Each of our 25 residents has their own spacious suite designed specially for their comfort and safety.

Broadacres has the elegance of a gracious country house, but this disguises a state-of-the-art design which incorporates modern levels of comfort and safety, such as under-floor heating, high levels of insulation and a cordless call bell system.

Residents are encouraged to bring as many of their own treasured ornaments and pieces of furniture as they wish, to reflect their tastes and retain their memories.  A television and a personal telephone line are provided in every room.

A special feature is the provision in every suite of a large wheelchair-accessible bathroom with full-sized bath and bath lift.

Living life to the full

Residents are offered a varied menu using fresh local produce in season wherever possible.  Food is prepared on the premises by our own chefs who take careful account of the dietary needs and individual preferences of our residents.  A sample menu is attached. Meals can be taken in residents' rooms or in our elegant dining room overlooking the lake.

Life at Broadacres is never dull.  Residents are able to enjoy, if they wish, a full social life, with a programme of activities and entertainments and outings to selected places of interest.  Guests are welcome at these events as regular contact with their loved ones adds greatly to residents' enjoyment of life at Broadacres.

Regular religious services are held and people of all faiths are welcome.

Our delightful grounds are easily accessible by wheelchair and provide enjoyment throughout the year.  Available services include hairdresser, physiotherapist, chiropodist, aromatherapist, and whirlpool spa bath.
